Here you will find all your answers to questions that our customers pose regarding making the payment for an order.
How do I place an order?
Here are the steps to place an order:
1. Review our gallery, select the painting that you like.
2. Select the size from the options provided.
3. Click on "contact us" - You can reach us via whatsapp or email to inquire about the cost for the order.
4. We will send you the invoice with payment details when you are ready to place the order.
5. Confirm the order by completing your payment.
6. We will ship the order to your address, along with the shipment tracking number.
Note: Our price is inclusive of taxes. Shipping will be calculated separately based on the location where the order is shipped.
What forms of payment do you accept in the US?
We accept the following forms of payment in the US:
- Zelle
- Venmo
- Paypal
- Cash payment
- Apple Pay

Do you take custom orders?
Yes. We take custom orders. This is our speciality.
We cater to the design needs of our customers. We create paintings based on the required dimensions.
If you want us to create a specific picture using Tanjore art, just let us know and we will get it done for you.
What is your return / refund policy?
All orders are final once our team begins working on the order.
What forms of payment do you accept in the India?
We accept the following forms of payment in the India:
- Bank Transfer
- Cheque made out to ”Greenways Art” and mailed to our address
- Google Pay
- Cash payment

Shipping Information
Here you will find all your answers to questions that our customers have regarding shipping details for an order placed.
How long does it take for you to ship the order?
This applies to both orders within India AND International orders:
- If the paintings are ready to ship, it will take 10 business days (2 weeks) for you to receive the order.
- If the paintings are a custom order, it will take us 30 business days (6 weeks) from the day the order was placed, for you to receive the shipment.
How does Domestic Shipping work?
CHENNAI ORDERS:
We are based in Chennai. Orders within Chennai can be delivered to you via courier for upto 20 kms from Raja Annamalai Puram.
ORDERS WITHIN INDIA:
Orders will be delivered to you via courier within India

How does International Shipping work?
Orders will be delivered to you via DHL express and we will share the shipment tracking information with you.

What are the types of frames I can choose from?
Traditional Tanjore art use the following Chettinadu frames as the best recommended options.

What are your standard frame sizes?
We have the following standard picture sizes without frame, to this ADD 1.5" - 3" to include the "width" of the frame:
- 10" (h) x 8" (w) (12" x 10" with frame)
- 12" (h) x 10" (w) (15" x 13" with frame)
- 15" (h) x 12" (w) (18" x 15" with frame)
- 20" (h) x 16" (w) (24" x 20" with frame)
- 24" (h) x 18" (w) (28" x 22" with frame)
- 36" (h) x 24" (w) (40" x 28" with frame) - custom order ONLY
Please note: We accept orders with custom frame sizes too to fit your space.
How thick are the Chettinadu frames?
The thickness of the frames vary by the size of the picture.
For pictures upto 2ft (width or length), the frame thickness = 2"
For pictures above 2ft (width or length), the frame thickness = 3" and above
What are your small frame sizes?
We have the following "Small" picture sizes, to this ADD 1.5" - 2.5" to include the width of the frame:
- 4" (h) x 4" (w) (5.5" x 5.5" with frame)
- 6" (h) x 8" (w) (8" x 10" with frame)
- 8" (h) x 8" (w) (10" x 10" with frame)
- 8" (h) x 10" (w) (10" x 12" with frame)
Please note: We accept orders with custom frame sizes too to fit your space.
What is the approximate weight of the pictures with frame?
The weight totally varies on the type of picture made. 3D tanjore paintings will weigh heavier than 2D paintings.
The weight will also vary based on the thickness of the frame used.
However, here are a few approximate weights of pictures with frame:
- 8" (h) x 8"(w) with frame - approx. 1kg or 2.2lbs
- 12" (h) x 10" (w) with frame - approx. 3kgs or 6.6lbs
- 20" (h) x 16" (w) with frame - approx. 4.5kgs or 10lbs
Frame Care Instructions
- Please hang the pictures indoors ONLY
- DO NOT use a wet cloth to wipe the frame. DRY CLOTH ONLY
- Place them in rooms where the conditions are NOT damp

What are the materials used in Tanjore Art?
Our priority is customer satifaction. We only use the highest quality semi-precious stones in our paintings.
The gold embossing is made of 24-carat pure gold foils in all of our art.
What are the frames made of?
All Chettinadu frames are made of high quality Teak wood.
We use acrylic glass to ensure safe and proper shipment of orders.
Do you offer lessons in Tanjore Art?
Yes. We do. Our workshops are ordered twice a year. Details of upcoming workshops will be shared on this website and social media.
Do you sell Tanjore paintings that are of other religions?
Yes. We do. Just let us know what you would like to have done, share a picture with us and it will be our pleasure to create it for you.
Frame Care Instructions
- Please hang the pictures indoors ONLY
- DO NOT use a wet cloth to wipe the frame. DRY CLOTH ONLY
- Place them in rooms where the conditions are NOT damp
- From a Feng Shui and care point of view, do not hang Tanjore art in your bathrooms. These pictures are meant to be hung in living spaces and pooja rooms.
- They will last for generations to come, if they are cared for properly.
